How we handle photos and names.

Default is the most private option

If a consent form is incomplete, we default to the most private option. [SOURCE NEEDED: what the most-private default specifically allows and disallows.]

Names

For performers under 16, the default public display is "first name, last initial." Parents or guardians may opt up to a full name display at entry. Most scholarship applicants choose to opt up so their listings can be cited.

Performers 16 and older grant their own consent for full name display, with parent co-signature if still a minor.

Photos

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw consent at any time, including retroactively. Email vpafestival@gmail.com with the performer's name and the year. [SOURCE NEEDED: removal SLA and behaviour for third-party platforms.]

Adjudicator comments are not published publicly without explicit student and parent consent.
